About us

Most of us got tired of the same thing. You buy hunting gear for deer season, hiking gear for the weekend, range gear for Saturdays, and suddenly you've got a closet full of bags that each do one thing. It adds up fast, and half of it sits untouched for eleven months of the year.

That's the problem a few of us couldn't stop thinking about. We're the same guys who grew up hunting with their dads, still make time for the range, and wouldn't trade a good trail for much. But we weren't just frustrated with the cost, we were frustrated with the quality.

Gear that looked capable but wasn't built to last. Designs that solved for one scenario and ignored the other three. Nobody was actually engineering for the guy who does more than one thing.

So we fixed it. Stonewall was built from the ground up around a simple standard: every piece of gear has to perform across multiple real-world scenarios before it earns a place in our lineup. That meant rethinking materials, rethinking construction, and refusing to cut corners where it actually matters: weather resistance, durability, fit under pressure. The result is gear that doesn't just cross over between activities. It outperforms the single-use stuff on its own turf.

Small American team, no corporate layers, no brand markup padding someone else's margins. Just better gear, built for guys who don't have time for equipment that lets them down.

Welcome to Stonewall. Built for more than one thing — and better at all of them.

The set 50,000+ American Hunters Chose

"Moved through thick brush without making a sound. Shells, rangefinder, calls, all on me. Left the pack in the truck. Killed my best buck at 28 yards. This thing just works" - Jake M., Texas
  • You left a hunt early because the cold finally won

  • You came home soaked — your jacket gave up before you did

  • You spooked game adjusting your position — your gear announced you first

  • You carried a heavy pack all day — and still couldn't find what you needed when it counted

  • You missed a shot window layered so thick you couldn't draw clean

Every one of those is a gear problem. Not a hunter problem. The Vanguard was built to end all five.

That Buck Stepped Out At Hour Seven. You Were Already In Your Truck At Five.

You knew he was there. You put in the work all season.

Then your gear made that decision for you.

Wet. Frozen. Done.

That animal is somebody else's story this year.

Here's what nobody tells you.

The guys who stayed weren't tougher than you. They just weren't fighting their gear at hour three.

Most hunting gear is built to look good at the register. Not to perform at hour six when the temperature drops and the wind cuts through.

You woke up at 4am. Scouted all season. Your gear quit before the shot.

That ends here.

THIS IS THE GEAR THAT KEEPS YOU THERE UNTIL HOUR SEVEN.

HYBRITEX™ — THE FABRIC THAT BROKE THE COMPROMISE.

Seven seasons. Real field conditions. Prototypes torn, soaked, and worn until they failed — then rebuilt until nothing did.

What came out is Hybritex™ — one fabric. Three jobs. Quiet. Waterproof. Warm. Most gear forces you to pick two. The Vanguard doesn't.

This is what that means in the field:

Silent in dense cover → The brush doesn't announce you.
No crinkle. No swish. Full draw. The animal never knows you moved.

15,000mm waterproof → Hunt through what sends everyone else home. Rain. Sleet. Creek crossings. You stay dry while the field is yours alone.

Fleece-lined. Tested to 23°F → Still locked in at dawn in late November. Warm enough to sit a full stand. Light enough to draw clean.

17 waterproof tactical pockets → Everything where your hand drops. Shells, calls, rangefinder, GPS. Pack stays in the truck.

Reinforced knees and elbows → Get into position. Stay there. Ridge, mud, rock. Built for every high-wear zone.

4-way mechanical stretch → Move like you're not wearing it. Full draw. Drop prone. Zero restriction in any position that matters.

The moment your gear fights you — the animal wins. Hybritex makes sure that never happens.

They Were Skeptical Too.

A true upgrade
My buddy kept telling me to try this set. Told him I'd been hunting 30 years, I was fine. He was right... It just works all day. Warm enough when you're sitting, not too hot walking in, and the wind doesn't cut through it. I didn't have to mess with layers once.

Versatile and great for hunting
What sold me was the pockets. Not the waterproofing, not the stretch. The pockets. I used to lose half my morning digging through a pack for my calls. Now everything is on me exactly where I reach for it. Shells in the left cargo. Rangefinder in the chest pocket. Calls on the arm. I have not touched my day pack since October.

Worth every penny
I hunt public land in the Cascades. Rain is not a possibility it is a guarantee. I have gone through four jackets in six years looking for something that actually keeps up. This is the first one that does. Sat through four hours of sideways rain last season and never felt it. The fleece stayed dry the whole time. Worth every penny.

Perfect for my son and I
Bought one for myself and one for my son for his first elk hunt. We were out 11 days in Colorado. Temperature swings from 55 in the afternoon to 14 at night. Both softshell sets handled every bit of it. My son came home talking about the elk. Not the gear. That is exactly how it should be.

Silent enough for succesful hunts
I have blown more stalks than I want to admit because of jacket noise. Thought it was me being careless. Switched to the Vanguard two seasons ago and realized it was the gear the whole time. Moved through a stand of dry oak last November without making a sound. Got within 40 yards. That does not happen in a crinkle shell.

Impressed, value for the money!
I am not easy to impress with gear. Been hunting whitetail for 35 years and I can tell in the first five minutes whether something is built right or built to look right. The stitching, the zipper pull, the way the cuffs adjust. All of it tells you this was designed by someone who actually hunts. My son asked what I wanted for Christmas. Told him another set in green haha!

What you might want to know before you order

Yes — and it's the feature hunters notice first. The softshell produces no crinkle, no swish, and no fabric-on-brush noise. You can push through dense cover, draw back slowly, or adjust your position in a stand without making a sound. That's why we chose softshell over hardshell: a fleece-backed, stretch-woven face fabric stays genuinely quiet when it matters most.

Fully. The Vanguard uses 4-way mechanical stretch fabric — not a token 1% spandex blend, but real articulated stretch in every direction. Whether you're crawling prone for a shot, stepping over rough terrain, or raising your rifle, the cut and fabric work with your body, not against it. Zero bind in the positions that matter.

The fleece-lined jacket and pants are tested to perform in 23 °F / –5 °C. The lining traps body heat effectively when you're stationary in a stand, while the breathable membrane vents moisture when you're hiking in. For single-digit conditions, add a light mid-layer underneath — the regular cut has room for it without restricting your draw.

MultiCam is the most versatile — it performs across woodland, scrub, agricultural land, and mixed terrain. Green suits dense timber and low-light conditions. Gray works for open mountain country and late-season hunts with patchy snow. All patterns are available as matched jacket and pants sets so you're consistent head to toe.

17 pockets total, placed where your hands naturally reach. Zippered chest pockets for your phone and license. Velcro-secured cargo pockets on the arms and thighs for calls and a folding knife. A dedicated internal pocket for your GPS or wallet. Waterproof-zippered lower pockets for shells and a rangefinder. Everything stays dry, organized, and within reach — most hunters find they leave the day pack behind entirely.

Yes. The Vanguard is built on Hybritex™ — a stretch-woven softshell with a sealed 15,000mm PU membrane that was developed specifically to seal out rain and wet snow. The detachable hood and adjustable cuffs close off any exposed entry points. Push through wet brush, cross a stream, or sit a stand through a storm — it sheds water and keeps the fleece lining dry throughout.

The Vanguard runs true to size with a regular, athletic cut. For most hunting use with a base layer underneath, your normal size works perfectly. If you plan to run a heavier fleece mid-layer for cold hunting, go up one size. For extreme cold with full insulation underneath, two sizes up gives a comfortable layered fit without restricting your movement or draw. Check the size chart for exact chest, shoulder, and sleeve measurements.
